Uzbekistan penetrated Vietnam's defense repeatedly to lead 3-0 by the 40th minute.
The final result of group C on Monday night was unexpected when Iraq defeated Saudi Arabia 2-1 to take the top spot. That means the top spot of group D will meet defending champion Saudi Arabia, while the second place will play Iraq in the quarterfinals.
Uzbekistan are at the top of group D with six points, leading Vietnam on goal difference. Coach Timur Kapadze and his team only need a draw against Vietnam tonight to win the group.
The Uzbekistan Football Association's spokesperson Abror Oripov said: "Uzbekistan came to the tournament to win every match and claim the title. No team can make us afraid."
According to Transfermarkt, Uzbekistan squad are valued at 9.75 million euros (US$10.4 million), and Vietnam 2.34 million euros.
